Padlet: developing writing skills

Padlet in an application to create an online blackboard in which you can display information. You can add images, links, videos, draws among other tools. You can also make your wall open for public contributions, private or you can approve for the contributions from another person.

You can use the app to develop your students' creativity at the same time they are using their writing skills.

1)    Why is this particular tool or technology relevant to language learning? What approaches to language learning or research underpin the use of this technology?
Padlet is relevant to language learning because can be used to reinforce and practice the writing skills of the learner and this is an important part of learning a second language. 
2)    How might you use it to foster language learning? Think about your target audience.
It can be used in every classroom because of it virtual platform but I think that teenagers will use it better because of they can make more complete and complex tests than children.
3)    What limitations can you see with the use of this technology for the purposes of language learning?
Children may not feel motivated to use this app because they prefer drawing instead of writing, despite the fact they can draw, the app will be more useful in terms of writing.

  1. After seen the published video, one of the advantages that padlet provides, being able to access free software for a teacher is a major bonus, especially with a tool like Padlet because all students can contribute to the wall and share their ideas.
    I suggest you use this app with students with more advanced ages, not with children as you said before!

  2. This app is my favorite among Mainmeister and Popplet. I think that is prettier than the other two. The organization is great! Students will love it. Besides the fact that you can add more than words to each box.
